Mercury Air Cargo Announces Agreement with British Airways

British AirwaysMercury Air Cargo is proud to announce that it has entered a new cargo handling agreement with British Airways.

While British Airways is a premium worldwide air carrier, this new agreement represents an important step in our growth. With two flights to London flying out of LAX every day, and even more from San Diego, Las Vegas, and Phoenix, this is a big operation. To accommodate this growth, Mercury Air Cargo is hiring 30 new team members.

British Airways chose Mercury Air Cargo based on its solid reputation. Mercury Air Cargo is the largest 3rd party provider of airline cargo services at LAX, and has been doing it longer than anyone else. Its relationship with Japan Airlines dates more than 58 years, LAN for 28 years and Cathay Pacific for 18. As Mercury Air Cargo worked with these and other carriers over the years, it has built a reputation of reliability, integrity, and partnership unparalleled by any competitors.

This new agreement with British Airways will round out Mercury Air Cargo’s cargo facility at LAX in relation to its capacity and capabilities. John E. Peery, Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of Mercury Air Cargo, says “BA is a great addition to the existing services we provide at the terminal, and their needs will fit in well with what we are best at.”
