Mercury Fuels Looks to Tap Midwest Market with New Chicago Hire

Jim CodeMercury Fuels welcomed a new sales representative, Jim Code, to its corporate sales team.

Jim brings with him extensive experience in both commercial and corporate aviation, having most recently worked for Delta Private Jets. It was there he oversaw the DPJ fleet fuel program and was responsible for both the Flight Operations and Flight Control budgets.

Jim is a graduate of the University of Illinois with a degree in Aviation Human Factors and a minor in Global Labor Studies. "Jim is familiar with our business model and our customers’ business needs and has firsthand experience with our product offerings from a current customer’s perspective," wrote Ronnie Powell, Director of Business Development for Corporate Fuels and Code’s direct supervisor in an introductory email.

Originally from Peoria, Ill, Jim recently relocated to Chicago, IL from Cincinnati, OH.  According to David Czyzyk, Director of Operations for Mercury Fuels, Chicago has been an underexplored area of the nation for Mercury Fuels.

“I’m currently focusing on building relationships with our existing customers that I am now representing for Mercury Fuels,” Jim said. “I will build off of that to include operators and FBOs throughout the Chicagoland and Great Plains region,” he said.  “I’m looking forward to working closely with, not only operators, but also the FBOs throughout the industry,” Jim said. “I’m committed to providing each of them the quality service that they have come to expect from Mercury Fuels.”
