Jupiter Airline Services Becomes Mercury’s IAC

The Final Mile & Apollo Freight Experience Strong Growth

Los Angeles, CA (April 29, 2010)-Mercury Air Cargo, Inc., a leader in worldwide cargo logistics, has consolidated and spun-off its freight forwarding businesses under one umbrella—Jupiter Airline Services, Inc. (Jupiter). Jupiter is a registered Indirect Air Carrier (IAC) with the Transportation Security Administration and a commercial member of CASS-USA. Jupiter’s family of businesses include: The Final Mile, Apollo Freight and Mercury Logistics.

“Jupiter has benefited from Mercury’s historic strength as an IAC and from Mercury’s strong balance sheet and reputation in worldwide logistics,” said Joseph A. Czyzyk, Chairman & CEO of Mercury Air Group, Inc., the parent company of Mercury Air Cargo, Inc.

Jupiter Airline Services, Inc., DBA The Final Mile, focuses on logistics support into Iraq, Afghanistan and other Middle East and North African countries, using offices and affiliates in Afghanistan, Dubai and Jordan. The Final Mile specializes in door-to-door transportation, infrastructure and supplies for the U.S. Government, NATO and its contractors.

Jupiter Airline Services, Inc., DBA Apollo Freight, has rapidly become the west coast’s new leader in perishable logistics, benefiting from Mercury’s 12,700 square foot on-airport perishable center at Los Angeles International Airport and its strong ties to airlines serving South America and Asia as well as growers, shippers and consignees in those regions.

“I am gratified by the growth The Final Mile, Mercury Logistics and Apollo Freight have experienced. We believe that the consolidation of our three forwarding businesses under one umbrella will improve efficiencies and service. These three businesses have a very strong future and together reconfirm my belief that air commerce is on the rebound,” said Czyzyk.
