Langeveldt & Peery Named Senior Executives at Mercury Air Cargo, Inc.

Los Angeles, CA (June 12, 2008)—Joseph A. Czyzyk, Chairman of the Board & CEO of Mercury Air Group, Inc., announced today two senior level appointments at the Company's wholly owned subsidiary, Mercury Air Cargo, Inc., based in Los Angeles, CA. Czyzyk, who also serves as CEO of Mercury Air Cargo, has appointed Clive Langeveldt as Executive Vice President and General Manager with oversight of the Company's marketing, space brokerage, cargo general sales agency and Mercury World Cargo operations and he has also appointed John Peery as Vice President of cargo operations, responsible for the Company's handling and warehouse services. Both Langeveldt and Peery will report directly to Czyzyk.

When I joined Mercury over 20 years ago, my first assignment was to establish Mercury Air Cargo and I have been intimately involved ever since. I believe Clive and John will fully unleash the great potential I see for us in air cargo going forward," said Czyzyk.

Born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa, Langeveldt has over 25 years of experience in the air cargo industry. He joined Mercury Air Cargo in 1999 as Manager of the Eastern Region and was promoted a year later to Vice President of the Eastern Region where he was responsible for the establishment of Mercury World Cargo (805 program) and overseeing GSA activities for numerous international airlines. Langeveldt was promoted to Executive Vice President of Hermes Aviation, Inc. in 2004 and relocated to Los Angeles at that time. Prior to joining Mercury, he spent over ten years with South African Airways Cargo in positions of increasing responsibility, including serving as Cargo Manager of the Americas.

Peery has over 30 years of experience in the air cargo industry and began his cargo career as a warehouseman. He spent 13 years with Air New Zealand in positions of increased responsibility, including Cargo Operations Supervisor and Cargo Services Manager, North America as well as Manager of Air New Zealand's operations in Hawaii and the Central Pacific. Prior to joining Mercury, Peery was a General Manager for the Northwest U.S. and Regional Vice President for the Western U.S. at Aeroground which was acquired by Menzies Aviation.
