Maytag to Handle Aircraft Refueling at Camp Pendleton, CA

Base Often Referred to as "Marine Corps' finest air station"

Los Angeles, CA (May 27, 2008)—Mercury Air Group, Inc., a global leader in the aviation services industry, announced today that is wholly owned subsidiary, Maytag Aircraft Corporation, based in Colorado Springs, CO, has been selected through a competitive bid process by the Defense Energy Support Center to provide alongside aircraft refueling services at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Camp Pendleton, California. It is a four year contract with a four year option.

Camp Pendleton is the largest West Coast expeditionary training facility in the Marine Corps. The Base is home to the First Marine Expeditionary Force, 1st Marine Division and 1st Force Service Support Group. Marines and sailors from Camp Pendleton continue to deploy in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.

The U.S. Air Force rates Maytag’s past performance record as “very good to exceptional,” the highest ratings possible.
